Who Knew Science Coule Be So Fun?

We had a wild adventure and crazy adventure today. With the car in the shop, we hopped a ride on the bus downtown to the Science Center. We always have a great time there visiting the animatronic dinosaurs, climbing on the giant bugs, and exploring the Tropical Butterfly House (although last time was traumatic with Isabel accidentally stepping on one). But today was extra special as they were having animals visit for the smaller (child-size) scientists. Isabel enjoyed her first pony ride. Josiah loved dancing to the animal sing alongs. And they both had fun petting the llamas and feeding the goats. The science center is definitely one of our favorite places to journey. Afterwards, we ended the adventure with the kids splitting an ice cream cone. Then we headed on the bus to Josiah's doctor appointment. His 9 month shots and he didn't even cry! Needless to say Dad was proud of his tough little man!

Now that she's an expert, Isabel shows Josiah the reigns.

He's not so sure

Cookie Time

Yesterday we made our first batch of homemade sugar cookies as a family. We found this really cute recipe for easter egg shaped cookies in Parents Magazine and thought it would be a fun activity for the kids. Two hours, an entirely different looking kitchen, and flour covered children later we had cookies that to our disappointment looked nothing like the Martha Stewart cookies in the picture. Oh well, as you can see there were no complaints from the taste tester!

Isabel is working hard!
