Happy Birthday Cowgirl

Isabel turned 2 years old today! Though she insists on telling everyone that she is 16 years old.
Her Uncle Ian sent her some cowgirl clothes and she could not wait to try them on. She had a fun day beginning with balloons and ending with pink birthday cupcakes! We really cannot believe the she is 2! She is such a joy and blessing to us. We love you Isabel, Happy Birthday!

Haircutting 101

Well, today we traumatized Isabel with her first haircut. Our plan was to grow it out but the poor girl could not see anymore. So off we walked to the salon. Everything looked so bright, she was excited, asking everyone on the salon how they were doing, but it all fell apart when our turn came.

The tears fell onto the floor into puddles and she kept crying, "Ibby want to get down Mommy!" But after less than 30 seconds he was done and we were out the door two minutes later. Then of course next door to buy a lollypop to make the pain stop.

Sadly, mom had to come home and recut it because there was still a ton of hair in her eyes. But what can you do? On the way home Isabel wanted to go to the library and see her Grandma who works at the library because she would "make it all better."

Well, here are the before, during, and after pictures. Enjoy!

School Days

It has been such a fun month. We started a pre-school co-op with 6 other families, with Tiffany being blessed with the responsibility as teacher. We just finished our first month, studying transporation. The children made boats, had car races, and visited the Center for Wooden Boats. It has been so great to embark on the educational journey with other families.

This month we begin our study in music.
Yesterday, we made musical shakers, played the
water xylopohne, and played with many fun musical
instruments. Next week we visit the Seattle Symphony.

Isabel has made a new friend on class, and her name is Sophia. Yesterday they played everything together, we even caught them on camera giving hugs. It was very cute to hear them interact, and because of Isabel's tendency to get upset easily, Sophia kept asking her, "are you happy now?"

We are looking forward to many more school day memories.
