Only Grandma Kathi will get this inside joke, but it's a good one and she will love it! Love you Grandma!

The Country Fair
We had a great trip today to the country fair at Remlinger Farms. We take this trip annually in the summer, but this year is special because we went with our neighbors Diana and her son Sullivan. The kids had a great time riding rides, playing in the hay maze, and more exploring. I couldn't believe I was watching my kids ride a roller coaster, in the front row, and having a blast...all by themselves! They have grown up way too fast!
Asher Home Video 3
We found this adorable video on our camera. Apparently, Isabel had stolen our camera and made a video of her baby brother. "Hi Asher" "I love you Asher"....precious!
Asher Home Video 2
Again, nothing too special, I just love the face he is making at the beginning of this clip
Asher's Home Video 1
There really isn't anything special about this video...except Asher and he is so stinking cute.
Beat the Heat
We have had some miserably hot weather these past few weeks. I'm talking in the triple digits, and when there is no air to escape it, that's miserable. And for us Seattleites who get in our bathing suits when it hits 60 degrees, we just start begging for our overcast, rainy days to return! Here are a couple pictures of us trying to beat the heat.
Farmers Market Fun
We have a really wonderful farmer's market in our neighborhood of Columbia City. It's pretty unique because not only do they have great local faire, but the neighborhood really comes out. In the field adjoining the market there are families picnicing and kids running and playing everywhere. We try to go as often as we can. Our typical routine is to walk down to the market, the kids climb the "big tree" for a while, choose a treat and eat in the field, and visit the local playground. Here are some pictures of one of our adventures.
Ride the Light Rail
Seattle is finally a real city now that it has the beginnings of a true public transit system. Just 3 blocks from our house is the new Link light rail and we love it! We rode both days opening weekend and though the cars were jammed packed, we had a blast. It was very cool to be a part of Seattle history.
The light rail will start running to the airport in December

One of the many pieces of art around the stations. This one sounds like a river.
