Isabel has joined the craze of seeing Jesus in ordinary objects. We were just eating lunch when she held her bread up for me and said, "Look Mom, it's Jesus, He's in my bread!" So I recreated the moment here for you.
So call the press, we are having supernatural appearances of our Lord in our home!

Cake and Presents
Well, of course Josiah got totally spoiled for his birthday. Let's see a new sandbox with trucks, a new bike, a jackhammer, and toy helicopter...all that and the grandparents' gifts haven't showed up yet. We need to work on toning it down, but I am definitely not one to do anything small. He loved his presents, and Isabel did really well letting him have his fair share of time to play first, though she did keep reminding him that it needed to be her turn soon. The cake was so funny, Josiah kept saying "try again" after he blew out the candles, so we'd relight them and sing again. It was cute. After, he REALLY enjoyed the cake, maybe a little too much as you will see form the picture.
Thanks Dad for building my new sandbox!

Happy Birthday Josiah
Josiah turned 2 years old this weekend. I really can't believe it. Rather than having a big party we had a small beach get together and then took the kids to Remlinger Farms. Remlinger Farms is a berry farm that also has an amusement park for kids up to about 5 years old. The kids love it because rides that they are usually too small for, roller coaster, Ferris wheels, and built just for them. Josiah kept saying again, again after all the rides, so we had plenty of fun!

Dog Catcher
Josiah loves playing dog catcher. I captured a short bit of it on the video and thought I'd share it! He says "caught net, caught net" Shortly after, he caught himself in the net as well :).
Beach Party
We had a super busy weekend, but we are never too busy to party of course. So we took advantage of the beautiful weather and had a party with our closest friends out on the beach. The kids had a great time climbing, splashing, and exploring. The adults had a great time laughing and eating! We had a few accidents, one friend being stuck at the hospital having had a fight with a nail gun (ouch), Isabel also took a bad spill but the ever prepared Miss Erica was there to save the day with bandages (what would we do without her!). Good food, great weather, and even better company. Just a small taste of heaven!
